Thornhill, 23 May – Frank Lloyd Wright's Windows

We’ve learned about the process of making stained glass windows and looked at geometric designs of  Frank Lloyd Wright.

Using various techniques children created their own designs, some using simple geometric forms and some more complicated arrangements. Kids learned how to use tracing paper as well as  discovered, that by overlapping the translucent shapes new colours can be achieved, creating beautiful colour collages.

It was  a great day for the project, as the sun shone through the the designs, framing the outside world and casting colourful patterns on the inside. It made the room very pretty!
