We had a very interesting workshop with lots and lots of ideas and lively design process. We talked about forces influencing building structures, their geometry and stability.
Kids explored the challenge of building a structure with a bunch of 12 paper straws, masking tape and white tack.
It was exciting to see, that each participant approached the subject in a slightly different solution.
We worked on the tables, on chairs and on the floor; the whole room was filled with structures.
The result was really good and most of the structures could support not only their own weight, but also some objects (sometimes heavy) placed on top of them!!!
We got all very carried away with the design process and almost forgot when it was time to go home…
