Skyscrapers and Structures (KS2) Museum of London Docklands, EC2Y
Since September 2016 series of ‘Skyscrapers and Structures’ workshops are available at the Museum of London Docklands. (KS2)
London’s modern skyline features some of Europe’s tallest buildings, looking at their size and comparing structure children explore landmark buildings through photographs of the city, learn how they were built, how they link to he history of the Docklands.
Students learn about key forces, elements of structures and create their own constructions. Working in teams, they identify design problems and test solutions, explore actions and reactions, and present designs to peers.
This workshop is aimed at year 5-6 Primary Schools, booked directly with the museum education department.

Weekly Architecture Club
Elizabeth House, N5
Started in September 2015 at Elizabeth House, a local community centre After School KidsArchiWorkshops are held every Tuesday.
They provide local children with regular weekly sessions, full of creative projects.
Programme of 10-12 bespoke workshops per term, exploring architecture and S.T.E.A.M. subjects designed for primary school children. Creative workshops compliment school curriculum by putting into practice many theoretical and abstract concepts. Numerical understanding, such as quantity, weight, size, scale & proportion are explored through use of different materials.
In friendly atmosphere Children explore architectural challenges, famous designers their buildings and structures, facts about London buildings and many more creative and making exercises.
The group consists of up to 12 children (Year 3-6).

After School Architecture Club
Thornhill Primary School, N1
Since April 2016 Architecture Club is running at Thornhill Primary School in Islington, N1
Based at the school premises it provides a group of year 3-6 children with weekly architecture themed workshops, helping them use their imagination and hone creative skills through fun sessions filled with design challenges. Children learn about Architecture, design and various creative skills supporting the primary curriculum.
With lots of diverse topics exploring different building and construction methods, as well as drawing and other ‘making’ activities, it is a fantastic opportunity to develop child’s creative potential, gain confidence and pride of their own achievements and creations.
The group consists of up to 12 children (Year 3-6).

Weekly Architecture Club

Since September 2018 new workshops are available at St John Highbury Vale Primary in Islington, N5.
Sessions are held on Thursdays.
They provide Year 3-6 children with regular weekly sessions, full of creative projects.

Cheapside Business Alliance, City Centre Gallery, EC2V and Redriff Primary School, SE16
In November 2016 in cooperation with Cheapside Business Alliance, The City Centre Gallery and Redriff Primary School we organised a ‘Christmas Window Project’, promoting London Cheapside district through a two day festive design workshop. It gave south London Primary children opportunity to learn about the City of London historical buildings, commercial heritage, and see how the area developed into present times.
