This week we have been putting on our Engineering hats, having a challenge of constructing a bridge, that would allow few toy cars to cross the river (full of dangerous creatures, of course!)   

Children came with lots of ideas for their bridge designs, after looking at some examples of famous bridges from across the world.

They had to consider the weight of the cars as well as stability of their constructions.

Quite a few bridges could take the weight of more than one vehicle!

We have achieved quite a variety of design solutions, with bridges of different proportions, sizes and structure.
