Shadow Puppets, Thornhill, 23 January

Children have examined the concept of shadows. Trying different forms and shapes kids discovered the relation between object forms and their shadows. They created their own puppets, ranging in complexity from simple stick figures, Octopus, Smiling Face, Fox, to trucks with moving parts and creatures with moving limbs. Some got a bit challenging with too little time to precisely cut out all the complex details, but the results were good in the end.

We ended the workshop with testing the puppets creating funny stories and testing how big shadows we can cast.

Great work everybody!
