Optical Illusions, Islington, 28 February

Do we always see what we think we see? It appears not always that is the case!

Children have investigated various examples of  Trompe-l’œil,

discovering what makes us believe in things that aren’t necessarily there…

We played few tricks with mirrors, visual vibrations, Moiré pattern and kaleidoscope, then kids attempted to make sense of impossible objects and try to copy and design their own.

We have seen spots where there weren’t any.

Some shapes were bigger than it appeared. When we measured them they were just the same.

Kids decided that some patterns would make great fashion accessories!

They will look with different eyes on their surroundings now.
