Mosaics, what are they? How can we create them?
Kids have looked at examples of mosaics, from ancient Greece, Rome, Morocco to modern ones, including some London examples. They have learned  how mosaics were created and where they can be used.
Children examined tessellated patterns and other geometric designs and tried them out, creating some interesting designs, using both geometric templates, freehand drawings as well as colouful paper “stones”.
We even got 3 dimensional patterns!
