We have looked ad a complex idea of map making. What are they for? What can we show on a map and how?
Children examined several examples of maps from different cities, drawn in different techniques.
Kids got to designing of their own map of The Imaginary Island.
It was great fun with comparing designs, great discussions on elements of drawings and explanations of ways about the islands.
Using symbols, different drawing techniques and materials we got quite an archipelago of great islands!
I even got a house on one of them. Must visit to check it out!
