The workshop was about how shapes cast shadows, how to design and cut out forms, creating simple and more complex moving puppets.
Children discovered that precise drawing and cutting made better shadow casting forms.
With a challenge of adding moving parts to the puppets we got some amazing theathre ready creatures, including dogs, cats, people and even dragons!
Using a torch and a bookshelf as a stage children improvised some very entertaining shows at the end of the workshop.
Hope the idea will brighten the winter evenings approaching fast after the clock’s change.
