Tuesday, 02 February was a Mosaic & Patterns day. We have explored mosaics through times, learned what materials people used to create them, where were they used. We have looked at photographs of various mosaics across London, including Mosaics by Sir Eduardo Paolozzi at Tottenham Court Road Station., “Octopus” installation by Marialuisa Tadei at Thomas More Square and few more.
Kids got very creative designing mosaic patterns on grids of different shapes.
Then we tried to create our own mosaics, using colourful geometric shapes.
