Getting inspired by work of a famous architect …
Last week before half term break we have been looking for design inspirations studying works of Sir Richard Rogers.
His work represents some innovative use of form and materials, creating unique buildings, that are standing out from their surroundings.
Children have looked at the photos of some of Roger’s iconic buildings, then have tried to design their own versions of great airports, galleries, theatres and other monumental buildings.
Hence we had a new version of the Paris Pompidou Centre, London O2 Arena, few amazing airports, silver clad office skyscrapers similar to London Lloyd’s building, and several art galleries.
Kids embraced the idea of using colours and different forms in their designs, incorporating shapes and textures in their projects.
Great work everyone!
