Great Skyscrapers and structures workshops at the Museum of London Docklands with two enthusiastic Year 5 classes from Mayville Primary School, Leytonstone.
Children have learned about the transition of Docklands from word’s busiest docks of 1800’s to thriving office and commercial centre of today, with some of London’s tallest buildings.
Pupils have looked at elements of structure, that buildings are made of, tested some structural solutions and explored making 3D structures of their own.
Some have chosen teamwork and learned about joint decision making and discussing different points of view.
Hope the information and experience will help them with the school’s architectural project that they are working on during this week.
