London Landmarks

London Landmarks

Making models of our favourite, or most remarkable London buildings…

Living in a big city like London gives us opportunity to look at some great buildings. Some of them become landmarks, making us recognise places instantly on photos and  pictures being part of the identity of the area or city we live in or visit.

We have talked about the iconic London buildings and children have chosen favourite ones to represent in their models.

The paper London we have created had a variety of famous edifices, new and old;

from Buckingham Palace,
through Tower Bridge (with lifting middle part),
Kings Cross station (with train on the platform!),
House of Parliament with Big Ben (with a bell inside the tower),
One Canada Square,
The Shard
and even rotating London Eye!

In addition we had some completely new sculptures and new iconic buildings that the kids decided should be added to our capital.

All models had lots of beautiful details and colours. It is great that children take notice of the city around them.

Great work young Londoners!
