Drawing with Words

drawing with words

Using the letters of a word to create the shape the word describes

This week’s challenge was t pick up a word and draw it using the letters of the word for forms and shapes.

this quite abstract concept let us explore the use of letters to form the shapes of objects, animals and concepts.

Using both block and script letters, capitals and lower case characters kids have transformed quite a few words into designs.

From an easy Cat, through Dog, Snakes, Horse, Monkey, Fish, cAr, Chair, Home, Mouse Tree (with a Branch), Plant, Pen, Ball, Swan, Grass, ant, Clock, Sink, Mirror, Bus, Eye, Pizza, Giraffe, Elephant, Zebra, Panda, Key, Flower, Bear, Sun, Moon, Clouds, Cake, Hammock, Person, Ballerina, Rocket and of course Banana …

We have found out that it is not so easy to turn every word into a drawing, but we have managed quite a few!

Great work everyone!
