3D Folding House

Creating 3-dimensional houses that can fold into a flat pack…

We were constructing 3-dimensional houses that can fold into a flat pack…

Kids have learned how to construct a “room” consisting of two walls and a floor, from a sheet of paper. Connecting four rooms together on 3 sides and fold diagonally across the floor allows the design to fold into a flat pack.

We have left the last corner to be fastened with masking tape or paperclip.

Children came with lots of interesting ideas as to what rooms were important and what a four room house could be furnished with. Some cut out doors inter-connecting their rooms, or added windows to look outside. Some houses had foldable tables, beds, hidden cupboards and fridges.

Adding roofs, doors and outside space with slides and super-long ladders, they have created quite a town!

Well done everyone!
